Electrification & decarbonization of high-temperature industrial heat
What we do
Leader in electrification and carbon capture technology set to decarbonize hard-to-abate, high-temperature industries – starting with quicklime and cement.
Our test and research center for electric calcination (ECRC) in Hofors, Sweden.
Our Inspiration
Our dependency on fossil fuels has put life on our planet at risk; mankind is facing a defining moment. Now is the time for groundbreaking engineering to forge a path toward a clean and sustainable future. We take great pride in our innovative technology but won’t rest until it powers a decarbonized future at scale.
What Drives us
- Our Mission
-
SaltX is on a mission to erase industries’ dependency on fossil fuels. We innovate and industrialize electrification and carbon capture technologies, aiming to make the shift in the gigaton scale to reach net-zero industrial emissions.
- Our Vision
-
Pioneering a new, electrified and decarbonized industrial era.
- Our Values
-
Be bold
We are courageous and dare to drive the development, prioritize and take responsibility.Be Innovative
We are curious and open-minded. We try new ideas, reflect and reason.Be Caring
We care about people and the planet. Sustainability is at our core.Be Collaborative
We learn from each other and believe that we are stronger together. We work in close partnerships with our stakeholders.
Our Innovation
The Electric Arc Calciner
The industrial dependency on fossil fuels in high-temperature heating industries can finally become history thanks to our innovation – the Electric Arc Calciner (EAC).
The technology reinvents the industrial process called calcination – a heating process used to heat materials to a high temperatures. Our electric plasma technology replaces fossil-driven heating with renewable electricity and capture the CO2 emissions released during the heating process.
Direct CO2 Capture
Inputs = Limestone or Cement raw mix + Electricity
Transition to Renewable Electricity
Replacing traditional fossil fuels.
Reduces Operational Costs
Lower CO2 volume for transport and storage
